This month has been a crazy month, full of distractions and beautiful weather. Despite all of that, I ended up reading a lot of really excellent YA reads, most of which have been on my To Read list for quite some time!

While not every book I read this month was historic fiction, it sure felt like that was what I was drawn to! I ended up picking up four different novels that had historical fiction elements, and there were all AMAZING.
Only two books this year have earned five star reviews from me, and I don't think it's a coincidence that both have been from African American authors, and both have been tackling hard issue of being black in a white America.
I love rereading books! I often find that when I revisit a book after a few years, I find new things to connect to and new details I missed out on the first go round. This is a list of ten books that I love rereadng and will definitely reread in the future!
